SSP pathways
The Safe & Sound Protocol contains three modules. SSP Connect, SSP Core and SSP Balance. The original version consisted only of SSP Core. What are the three modules all about?

SSP Connect
SSP Connect includes four different playlists (an adult version, a children's version, or two different versions of classical music), each containing 5 hours of unmodulated, unfiltered music. It can be made available for listening as needed and at the discretion of the SSP provider. It provides an introduction to SSP and preparation for SSP Core, demonstrating how music can become a component of therapy or coaching. Listening to this music serves to establish safety in the nervous system, as the music can be "listened through" and thus becomes familiar. While listening to SSP Connect, self-regulation exercises (e.g., gentle yoga poses, breathing exercises) can be performed to support the nervous system. Speakers or any type of headphones can be used.

SSP Core
SSP Core is the original SSP program, as it has been in use since its release in 2017. It is available in adult, child, and classical versions and contains 5 hours of highly modulated music that must be listened to through circumaural headphones without noise cancellation.

SSP Balance
SSP Connect offers the opportunity to expand and integrate the successes of listening to SSP Core. It can also serve to stabilize the state achieved. It can also be used as preparation for an SSP Core Booster. It includes the same music pieces as in the SSP Core pathway, but with significantly less pronounced modulation. This music is intended to feel less like a neural exercise and more like an embodied reminder of the safety experienced during SSP Core. The music can be listened to in any order, and any type of headphones or speakers can be used.
In coordination with me as your SSP provider and after a previous assessment, SSP Connect is used before SSP Core. This depends, among other things, on the presumed sensitivity of the nervous system.
The SSP Balance offering is part of the SSP package and allows you to use it for three months after completing your SSP Core path.
